There are certain factors in each of the personalities that distinguish us from the rest of the world, but when there are certain qualities that are merged together, the formula produces a whole new type of personality. And every so often, we find a known face who is not that different from us. PsycholoGenie brings you a list of famous INFJs from all across the spectrum.
Simple Man
Bob Marley, a musician who became a huge symbol of “Rastafari” and a well-known figure in popular culture, belonged to the INFJ personality type.
When we go down to the basic structure of our anatomy, we realize that our DNA strands and subsequently, the genes we inherit define certain qualities that we possess. But there is more to it than just that. We are all a combination of these traits, characteristics, and ultimately personalities. Together, they make us both unique and a part of a group of people who share that specific combination of characteristics. Psychology does just that by grouping such people based on the traits that they share.
And like everything else, there is a need to relate to a known face so that we know that we are not the only ones. We bring you a list of celebrities with the INFJ personality type. But first, let us understand what an INFJ really is.
WHAT IS INFJ?
INFJ is one of 16 personality types that was defined by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator developed by Isabel Briggs Myers and Katharine Briggs. It is based on Carl Jung’s typology that evolved from his cognitive function theories, which were deduced through clinical research. Our focus will be on the INFJ type. So, what does it stand for, you ask?
I – Introversion Preferred to Extraversion
People who are introverted tend to be quiet and reserved. They prefer to spend time either alone or in a small group, and seem to expend energy rather than gain it through social contact.
N – Intuition Preferred to Thinking
People with a higher value of N tend to rely on their intuition as well as abstract ideas to deal with the situations. They’d rather look at the big picture than deal with the minor details. They tend to ponder over future possibilities as well.
F – Feeling Preferred to Thinking
People who score higher on feeling tend to refer to personal experience when dealing with situations, rather than predetermined facts and logic. They also tend to give weight to the social implications of their actions.
J – Judgment Preferred to Perception
Such people like to plan and take quick decisions because it gives them a sense of control.
Now that we have brushed up with some info on INFPs, let’s get to know the famous people who belong to this personality type.
